I stayed home today. Now I've set up the laptop in the kitchen, right next to the wood stove that I am keeping stocked with wood so that I don't freeze. It's snowing but since I'm not out in it and it's not as blizzard-like as some of the state might be getting, it's sort of pretty and comforting and all warm-and-cozy making.

I'm working on the Super Secret Project of D00M but I'm also doing stupid things like, you know, trying not to sign up for other Big Bangs. There's the Comic Big Bang that is only 10k BUT most of the stories I want to write this year are AU. Do I have a normal story in me? I think I'd rather write AUs, actually. At least for anything big like that.

But if you think this sounds fun...

Okay, back to work. These words aren't going to write themselves!

Virgo - observant, patient, reliable, intelligent, sensible

In a way, Virgos are misunderstood. Their attention to detaill and striving for excellence has in many ways given them a reputation for being overly critical. The fact is that they simply aspire to do things properly and methodically. They are represented by the Virgin, although this association should not be taken literally. Rather, Virgos tend to take on some of the better qualities of a Virgin, such as their modesty and humanity. Some might consider them repressed, but a Virgo would argue that it’s a noble trait as opposed to a negative one. They are usually observant, patient and practical supporters of the status quo. On the surface they can appear emotionally cold, a result of their habit of suppressing their natural kindness. This outward lack of feeling will conceal emotions which they are afraid of giving away because they do not trust others, nor to they have confidence in themselves or their judgments. In fact, there is ingenuity around this sign, a kind-heartedness which, unfortunately, is sometimes played upon by others for their advantage. But Virgos are givers and when the chips are down and you need support, the one there to offer support is often a Virgo. They understand human frailties better than most because of their own depth and reflective nature.

For [livejournal.com profile] anuna_81, on the occasion of her birthday. Incidently, this was the Super Secret Project of D00m.

Title: Fate's Idea of a Joke
Fandom: Avengers/Castle mash up
Characters: Clint/Natasha
Word Count: 2330
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: mentioned death of parents
Summary: Detective Clint Barton was content to let the arrival of superheroes in New York slide on by. It's too much for him to handle, especially seeing as it brings up memories of the death of his parents. Along comes Natasha Romanov, dragging him in to places he's not sure he wants to go so she can get her story. Sometimes fate really is funny.
