My sister has been hard at work making more random characters to put in the shoeboxes that we do every year for Operation Christmas Child. My other sister is working on sewing up some bags to put them in. I think I'm going to make up sewing kits (over and above all the toys), something which I've sort of done in years past but maybe put more of stuff in them. Fabric and fun appliques or something. I don't know.

I was told to tell everyone that while she isn't the first one to come up with the idea of peg Avengers (there are multiple etsy sites with the idea), she can make up sets to sell if anyone would care to own one for themselves. Personally, I'm having her make up several more characters because I'm thinking of reenacting more of the movie in pictures and also coming up with some of my own "movies". If you would like a set or a few or whatever, let me know and I can pass along her information to you.

They're quite adorable. What does she make them out of?

They're made out of wooden pegs that are maybe 2 inches tall. There's a cute little tutorial here (http://webloomhere.blogspot.com/2011/02/wooden-peg-people-tutorial-part-1.html).
