I wish I could help but I've only ever seen a handful of episodes of Flashpoint - it doesn't seem to air regularly here, although I always enjoyed the episodes I did catch.

As for the editing; we are our own worst critics. And it makes a writer better, to know they can improve, than to sit on their laurels. Just don't beat yourself up too much.
