(no subject)

The first post in my fandom journal. Soon, I hope to move all my fandom writing here so, I'm sorry to say, some of you will see some stuff you've already read. For some of you, it'll be new so Hooray!

I write odd pairings and I will continue to make this a practice, concentrating on Tonks and Kingsley, assorted Huffs and other assorted pairings that make me happy - the newest being, oddly enough, between a Slytherin and a Ravenclaw. I didn't think they had it in them but I was wrong. *flashes Ilex a grin*

But that's what this journal is about - things that make me happy. No real life, no actual occurances. Just happy. Well, happy and angst. I love fictional angst. Almost as much as Jr. Mints.

If you have any recommendations, especially for any of the above pairings or any of them that I write or any you just think I should read, please leave them. I'm opening up to new ideas all the time. If I can learn to like Snape, I can learn to like anyone!

My default icon is made by [livejournal.com profile] black_icons who I have captured a couple of fandom icons from. This one in particular is one of my favorite parts of the OotP book. In writing, there are no lies. In a strange way, there are only truths because all writing comes from a part of us that is pure. Not an innocent pure but a pure that is without guile and without shame. If you feel it in your heart, you will have truth. And truth will carry a story beyond the borders of paper and pen and give it a home in the hearts and minds of others.

So sayth I.

OOOh SO DEEP and you didn't even have insomnia. I like that idea. Reminds me a bit of beauty is truth, truth, beauty.

I say perhaps that all writing is true. At least all good writing. You can always tell when someone's writing isn't true because it smacks of ... well, of falseness, and isn't that what we are looking for in writing? Something that rings true? That we see in our own lives.

Hmmm *strolls off*

When I have insomnia, I get bubbly. You're the deep one! *grins*

*hands out Jr. Mints* I wonder what will come next?
