The first time Victoria drained a human dry, she felt an exhilaration much like she’d only ever gotten from hard, fast sex. She’d watched the light in the man’s eyes flicker and go out just as she’d felt a swift heat run from his body to hers, touching something buried deep beneath everyday urges. To suck in a man’s soul was to touch her own piece of heaven.
“Take all of him,” James whispered from time to time, offering up a treat. Each and every time she relished the rush of life that for a moment made her feel alive.
