The blue/cream afghan is DONE! Hooray! It's been at the expense of a lot of words that I might have written today but I'm still 4 blankets behind Beth!

Considering that the tempurature is in the 90s today (and we don't have any sort of central air), crocheting is kind of a stupid project! I've also been setting up Yarn Tribbles on social media this last week. That's been fun but sort of exhausting. It's been awhile since I was new on some of these sites! We're still in discussion over whether to get a website (my brother-in-law can set one up for us and it's a pretty good deal considering what we'd get) or stick to somewhere free like blogspot or here on LJ.

It looks great! And it's such an awesome feeling to finish a project, isn't it? I just finished my first hat today and did a little victory dance hehe.

Thank you! Yes, I love the feeling of finishing! Maybe it'll help me get a few more done instead of sitting around, half finished!

That is all kinds of beautiful. I applaud your perseverance in the heat of summer, too!

Lovely! How big is it? Baby- or people-sized?

Oh, and, Yarn Tribbles?? I've been known to knit, although I haven't done anything since i started writing. (hangs head in commemoration of some of the gorgeous hand spun yarn taht's languishing in a box somewhere)

We're doing "crib size". The specific directions for Project Linus is 36x36 so we've adopted the same size requirement since quite a few of our afghans will go there.

You should totally join us!!! The only requirement for being a Yarn Tribble is to make an afghan or quilt! Take a picture of it when you're done and send it to us. Then, pick your favorite charity or a community in need and send it on!

There's nothing quite like doing something for someone in need to get the needles out and clacking together again! And hand spun yarn!!! You totally need to use that! Awesome!
