A Lar by any other name

Okay, I've been really bad about continuing this here at my journal but this is why I wasn't meant to lead! I am meant to follow. Granted, a follower who doesn't take instruction but a follower, nonetheless!

Today's inspiration is a picture I've been storing in my resource file for a long time, now. Oh, how I want to write something for this and some of the others that I have there. Instead, I get caught up in my research which leads to another story altogether! But someday...


But I don't just have one Inspiration for you. Oh, no. I have TWO!

I stand by my assertion that time will tell us that some of this amazing music coming from video games will be our generation's "classic" music. It's too beautiful not to stand the test of time!

I've started compiling the prompts in this doc. It's not pretty but it has the prompts listed by PAGE which is always huge for me. I didn't list the exact link but I figured page would get me there faster than not having a page at all.

Feel free to use and pass on, as you would like! I needed something that was sort of mindless today while I mulled over a completely different fandom story and decided this would be the mindless thing I did!

Also, I leave you all this video. anuna_81 was having a Hey Remember This Song post today that got me all sentimental for the songs that really touched me and this song probably has the highest listen count over my formative years.

And Graham! You make my heart hurt!

I was a huge fan of pop music growing up. *gasp* A child of the 80s? In love with pop music? Say it isn't true!

But now I'm a huge fan of anything that is MUSICAL. I love strings and sweeping orchestral movements and dance mixes and just about anything that moves me.

So discovering that heavy metal makes some of the best stringed orchestration was surprising. Tonight I went on a tangent from David Garrett to Apocalyptica to this song...



Oh, this needs to be a story!

Ben Folds Five is back together! To celebrate, they did a video with the Fraggles.

Today was another "yellow sky warning" day. I was sort of hoping we were done with those but the wind changed again and we got a face-full! It's so funny that people think they have this eternal cold because "I don't have allergies." How many times have I heard that this summer? Yes, you do! This summer, you do! The fires aren't going to be put out until the first snow and we've dealt with this for three months now. Your sinus cavities are telling you THEY ARE ANGRY with you for staying here instead of vacationing to a place without active fires.

And then there was the lady who wanted something to help with her sun spots but didn't want a skin-lightener because she didn't want the rest of her skin to get light. Seriously. And when I told her that the kind that we had was for freckles, age spots and liver spots, she told me she couldn't use it because she didn't have those. She had sun spots. Spots that came because of the sun. "Those others come from the sun," I tried to tell her but she didn't believe me. "Freckles are caused by the sun, in most cases," I told her. And she looked at me like I was 10 and she was the lunch lady who didn't want to give me an extra brownie.

That was when I decided that I do need to write a second part/chapter/section of the Pharmacy Avengers story. Because I wanted to use the Widow's Bite on that lady.

I've got the rearranging bug right now. This means that the room isn't working the way it's supposed to work (it hasn't been clean since I've had it like this) and that means it needs to be arranged differently so that maybe (MAYBE) it will be clean livable. I think that the clutter might be getting to the muse. As soon as I wrote that, I got a shiver. Yes. I think this is definitely a problem I need to take care of. Probably won't happen until this weekend but if I get off the computer now... hmmm...

I'm in a very I LOVE AVENGERS frame of reference tonight. I don't know why. Maybe it was my muse coming back to roost (with no shoes, I am glad to say) or being able to see the movie again yesterday.

But you know what my biggest thought was when I saw this? No, it wasn't This world needs more Jeremy/Scarlett RPF so you can breathe a little easier.

No, it was simply that Nathan Fillion NEEDS to be an Avenger. NEEDS. TO. BE. Like woah! (You need to watch the video for that to make sense, btw.)

So what Avenger should he be? If a consensus is reached or I just like your answer (feel free to give as much evidence as you would like to back up your answer), I will make it may head!canon and write you a story. Do you want him in a role that is already established in the Marvel universe (because, oh gosh, you have like a zillion characters) or does he need to be a new character? Is Captain Hammer suddenly an Avenger?
