Two days and 3400 words later, I've finally pulled off a pinch hit story for the

satedan_grabass Thing-A-Thon. Hooray! It's been a year since I've written SGA so I'm a bit worried about characterization but, overall, I'm happy with this story. It was strange to write this while having an AU conversation over at

be_compromised, especially since this was the fandom where I learned to love AUs. And it was also really, really odd to write gen. It's been YEARS since I've written gen but it felt good to stretch those muscles!

My brain has been eaten by Don't Starve. Have you played this game? There's a demo that you can try out... of course, you might find that you can't do anything else if you start playing. I'm just hoping that I can someday get past Day 20 without being eaten by Hounds. *sigh*

Watching Veronica Mars season 1 and continually amazed by how many of the random NPCs each week were played by people who I now notice a lot more than I did when I first watched the show. I'm remembering all these little things that I've missed... like Mac being switched at birth! How did I not remember that?

And here you thought I'd forgot about writing something everyday in April. *sigh* No, I remember. It hangs over my head on the days when I don't write.

clwilson2006 offered up a donation for a pairing I know about but have never written before. I decided to take up the challenge... and then promptly got very cold feet. I wrote three thousand very horrible words before I decided I need someone to read over it and give me some direction. Thankfully,

fififolle took up the challenge and was able to help me see where I'd gone wrong and what I'd done right. It is because of her, and only her, that this story is done.

First - I'm reading Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and it's SO GOOD! It's been a long time since I've been so unwilling to come back from lunch just because I'm reading that I don't want to put down. Granted, I'm ALWAYS unwilling to come back from lunch but it only makes it worse when I'm reading a good book.

I went looking for trailers for the movie... OMG! I WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE! I can't wait for P&P&V to come to theaters, as well.

Okay, now to the real reason I opened this window. I posted a story yesterday to

sg1_five_things but I just put it on AO3 and not here. Well, I'm going to post it here just to say that it's here. I'm just a little amazed that I've already gotten 127 hits there. It's a Flyboy fic and I always get AMAZING hits on those stories. How I love that group... and not just because they read my stories. They are just truly amazing people and I love them all!

Incidently... this is my first 5 things story. I've never gotten one finished before because they just never flowed. Love the prompt, though.
