It was warmer today than it's been in a month. To celebrate... I fell on the ice. I stepped down off the wooden porch, thinking I was walking in some water and BOOM! The water was covering ice that hadn't been there the day before. Thankfully, my feet went right out from beneath me and I went flying or I would have hit my head on the stairs instead of the sidewalk. My glasses didn't break (which is good because I still don't know where my extra pair is) and my bag was on my shoulder and not slung across my body so it just ended up in the puddle and not underneath me.

I bruised my butt. Not my coccyx so much as the back of my butt. The rib that's been threatening to pop out is sore. All of my neck muscles are super sore, to that point that I was driving by peripheral vision. It could have been so much worse, though. The lady who lives in the house behind us did something very similar about an hour before and ended up with a pretty severely broken leg. As in, the bone is in pieces. That sort of broken. I will take the sore over a stay in the hospital!

Also, I've discovered that Hulu Plus offers a TON of movies and documentaries. More than I thought it would. Less than Netflix but still enough to keep me going for a really long time. I'm not sure exactly why I'm still paying Netflix money.

Ouchie! I'm glad it wasn't worse but you have my sympathies all the same.

Ouch! Sounds like a good day to soak in a hot tub, curl up with cocoa and Hulu Plus.

Not good, even if it could have been worse :/ Damnable sneaky ice!

Netflix Instant got several Disney movies recently, and the West Wing....

Sorry about the fall, hope you feel better soon.

Ah, but Hulu has West Wing, too! I've been watching Being Erica and Daria when I don't have my new shows to watch. That's how I'm getting all my TV watched these days.

I'm getting a little better every day!

The one thing we really need in this house is a decent tub! Oh, how I wish we had one!

It's been trying, to say the least. I'm used to dealing with pain every day but not being unable to move my head or lift my arms over my head! But I'm getting better every day.

I haven't seen Being Erica. *googles* Looks interesting for when I have enough mental energy to embrace a new world with new characters :)

I don't know who first told me about the show. It was a comm person but I'm not sure if it was b_c or not. Anyway, I've really enjoyed it. I'm not consuming it quickly because it's only just now wrapping up what will probably be it's last season and not all of the show is on Hulu yet so I would have to wait if I were to watch quickly.

My next rewatch will probably be Young Riders or some of the sappy 80s shows that I used to love, like Remington Steele. Man, I loved that show. I'm afraid it's going to be super cheesy now. :(

*hugs* I hope this down spell lifts soon!

*hugs* Thanks. I took your advice and got some more sunlight. It seems to be helping.

Don't let winter get you down! It should be a motto of a vitamin supplement!

A change of scenery (I'm constantly changing where I work on my laptop because small town sucks at offering different places to go), exercise and doing something that makes you happy. There are all kinds of things you can do to trick your brain out of the gray areas.

I'm getting back to my gym tomorrow. It's gonna be so wonderful to be a weight room again. And working on that change of scenery :)
