Tonight, I made Pioneer Woman's Taco Pizza! The only bad thing about this (because it was GOOD!) was that we're having an unseasonably warm spell so the last thing I needed to do was spend the evening in a warm kitchen! Seriously, it was REALLY close to 90 C and it's still the first part of May. We should still be in long-sleeves! Instead, I'm trying to figure out if I should open a window (my windows are really hard to open/get to) tonight.

But try the pizza. It was good.

Saw the Agents of SHIELD spot on YouTube. Is it time for Fall TV yet????? LOLA! She and Maggie can be friends!

I was looking through some Iron Man 3 icons and realized that there needs to be an icon of Tony in the trucker hat that says THE MECHANIC. Just an idea.

I got to spend the weekend with three boys that I'd never met before. They belong to my sister's college roommate. She and her husband were in town for a visit so I got to spend the last two days with some interesting little humans. The middle one is six and smart as a whippet. We taught him how to play Qwerkle and he got it, right off the bat. Since we can't say that about even the adults we teach it to so it was so much fun to have him just get it. We also played different games on the the computer and he told me all about the computer game he created. It is just a piece of paper with instructions and the cover of the game but he's talked his mom into contacting Nintendo. She's a little worried that he assumes that he'll get back a game he can play but I think this can only end well. Since he's the sort of kid that gets hold of an idea and won't let it go, he'll either decide to learn how to code his own game or he'll just leave it to the side and consider it a memory. If he goes with the first, I'll let you know all about it!

Aren't kids just the most amazing things? Even when you know them well, they surprise you, especially the smart and gutsy ones. Mine decided that she wanted to be in the last Harry Potter movie (I think she had visions of a heroic death at the Battle of Hogwarts) and wrote to Warner Bros arguing that there were so few schools of witchcraft and wizardry that it would make sense for some kids to be from Canada, so her accent wouldn't be a problem, and she'd like to be a Ravenclaw please (she'd love your icon ...) They wrote her a very nice letter back indicating that, alas, they were fully cast but even a "no" was pretty cool. As for computers, we found her navigating through 4 program panes to get to Microsoft Paint one Sunday morning -- at the age of 2. I'm sure your roomie's nephew will be running his own company at 16, and the country by 32.

That pizza sounds very delicious.

I am so excited for Agents of SHEILD. They say it will fit in with the movie canon universe so I am curious as to how that will work.

Hey, no harm in having big dreams for the kid.

If you like that sort of thing, definitely try the pizza! It was good! Anything I've ever made from Pioneer Woman has been amazing!

I'm also curious to see how the TV show will weave into things. I'm looking forward to it just for all the additional experience!

Right after I read this, I was watching Sherlock (BBC) and I thought to myself (because there's no one around to say anything out loud to) that I should do a similar letter to them!!!! *grins* But that is cool and way to come up with a good reason WHY they needed her! What would her name have been? Because no one who had that much reasoning doesn't have a name and a background for their character!
