Owen knew he was in trouble as soon as he walked into the room. He hated wearing his dress robes but he hadn’t had any other option after deciding to crash the party…or wedding, really. Laura was getting married today but he hadn’t been invited. He only knew because of the announcement in the Daily Snitch, right under a large picture of Laura and the gorilla she was engaged to.

“Don’t,” he shouted as the music swept to a crescendo.

She turned, her eyes wide. “Owen?”

“Marry me.” The groom crooked his finger and Owen ducked the usher’s sudden punch.
