Have made a Christmas list (what I'm getting people, not what I want although I have made one of those and it's up on the fridge) and I think I'll be able to afford giving gifts this year! *g*
Pray for me... tomorrow the other sister brings the kids over for the day so she can go shopping. I'm not babysitting, just sitting in my house while it's overrun by a toddler just learning to walk and two kids who are always stressed this time of year and end up crying and sulking too much for my taste. If they were my kids... but they aren't so I have to paste on a big smile and act like I'm excited that when other sister says all day, she means ALL DAY. That girl can SHOP! She hoards it all for one day a month and she goes EVERYWHERE. Girl has a notebook of what is on sale where. This is what it means to live in a small town!

madam_minnie brought up a really good point on her blog. BUY BOOKS FOR CHRISTMAS! Ask for bookstore gift cards. We need to help out that part of the economy. I know it's considered a luxury to buy new books but it's a luxury we can't afford NOT to have. Luxuries are the first to go when times are tight and I'd hate to NOT have books because the publishing houses had to close down. That hurts my little head!
So... Go! Buy! Read lots!
