We're home! Hooray!

In the last three days, I've been in... hmmm... how many states? Let's see...

Florida (near Miami, to be precise)
Georgia
Tennessee
Kentucky (for a smidge)
Illinois
Missouri
Iowa (for 10 miles almost exactly)
Nebraska
Wyoming
Idaho

Another hard day of driving would put us in Seattle and the West Coast but luckily we don't need to be that far! I'll take this, thank you. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but it wasn't as good, either. I wonder if I'll remember any of it? I twittered throughout and will bring that over here with color commentary inbetween. Remembered about halfway that brother-in-law follows me on twitter so quit complaining about my sister. Still, I don't think I'm her favorite person right now as I kept hating her food choices... but at least I got fed, right?

And they had Gold Peak Tea just about every spot! Sometimes on tap, even! Man, I love this stuff!

And now I'm going to bed. In my own bed. With my doggy, who has missed me very much, beside me. She is being quite possessive right now and wishes I was off the computer so I could pet her with both hands. Wonder where my phone is? Hmmm... should probably track that down first thing tomorrow.

I like this idea. It has a good reason for existing and makes such wonderful sense. I hadn't thought of it before seeing the prompt given but I liked it as soon as I read it. I wanted to write this story so badly but this was a week that wasn't exactly given to me for writing. It's only 1000 words of a story that I think could be much longer and more drawn out. I did promise myself that I wouldn't take another challenge but... but... *whines* I want to! Of course, I do need to find a place that would take a crossover.
