A lovely Saturday morning/early afternoon
Nov. 7th, 2009 01:13 pmSweet success! Finished the marriage fic for
the_browncoats in much better time than I thought I would. That's what I get for putting it off for a month KNOWING that was due the first weekend of NaNo!
I did get about 800 words written this morning for NaNo as well. Also got some of my Bible reading done for Awana tomorrow as I am soooo far behind and it's not good for the teacher to be behind because it sets a bad precedence with the kids.
Some time this weekend I need to go through and thoroughly clean the glasses and mugs that I use for tea. They're all very stained and I haven't taken the time to get them unstained.
Currently reading Never After with stories by Laurell K. Hamilton, Yasmine Galenorn, Marjorie M. Liu, and Sharon Shinn. All authors I love and respect. I'm having some difficulty with Yasmine in this book though. All the rest of the authors did something different from the series they routinely publish. It's nothing that really has anything to do with any of their books, after all. Does she not know how to write anything other than those characters that she's published so far? It seems to me like she is unable to stretch her imagination away from those characters and it disappoints me. Keeps disappointing me more every day as I contemplate the other stories that I hope to get to soon (as I keep getting slower and slower reading her story) because I keep wondering why she couldn't get out of herself to write something different.
It's funny that I'm usually good with anthologies that have three authors but you push it to four and I start to get irritated with the fourth author. Funny, huh?
Okay, back to the word mines!
