Happy 2nd day of the year!
Jan. 2nd, 2010 07:01 pm*grumbles* I thought my blue flash drive was at my mom & dad's house so I'm disappointed to find out that it's not by the computer. It could be up in my room which I haven't been up to. Guess I shouldn't complain until I get up there to check it out.
This was quite a week at work. Worked two 10s and then 6 hours of inventory. Our inventory is more than just inputting numbers because our cost price is coded so we have to remember the code (which we write on the back of our hands for things like this) while also counting. I'm lucky and got most of the ointments and things that don't have a thousand components that also need to be counted. Did my little share which is difficult for me since this is the only time of the year that I get to count pills.
We got quite a bit of snow on the 1st, both the morning and the evening. I'm already tired of shoveling snow and the winter has only just begun. The problem is that this year I"m responsible for ALL the shoveling. A bunch of hard work, if you ask me.
The other sister's family is over. Me and Zane (the two year old) have been arguing all day. It's just too much fun not to. I started it by teaching him (months and months ago) to say "I'm right here" when I chase him. It's all spiraled from there. Now we just do the opposite of what the other is saying. And he's saying my name now. No more "Gramma" for me! That's excites me because it means I'm a person separated from my mother. Of course, anytime someone comes in the house while he's here gets a "Shelley's home!" It's adorable. What can I say? The kid intrigues me. Can't wait until I get to be a real aunt. I love these kids but getting to argue with a real nephew has got to be even more entertaining than arguing with an "other" nephew. *grins*
I'm not doing a year in review thing because I didn't do that much. Not really. Or at least it doesn't feel like it. Not like years past. I'm just happy to still be on LJ and to have an internet connection 50% of the month. *grins*
I wish all of you health and happiness in the new year!
