There's a Heroes Big Boom (smaller than a Big Bang) that is due some time this summer and I'm considering... there's been this Elle story floating around in my head for awhile now. The gist is that all the Heroes that have died are actually sent to an alternate universe and those killed by Sylar have a special distinction. It's just a good way for me to bring back my favorite characters (Candace! Eve! Nathan!).

But I'm rapidly getting too much on my writing plate. If I was writing every day (which I'm not, sadly) than it would easier for me to agree.

I know that so many of these writing challenges go on in the same time because that's when everyone has less homework... which reminds me yet again that I'm part of a rapidly aging group that isn't at the core of these things anymore... but summer is not a good time for me. I've got YARD WORK! *grins*

Today is the very middle of April. My nephew should be born within the next 10 days which makes me very excited. Of course, I won't get to see him right away because of work and the doofus that I am has agreed to work next Saturday instead of this one because I want to help Lindsay move. That wasn't smart, although I'm sure that Lindsay will appreciate the help.

I ordered a coffee maker that should be here either today or tomorrow. I've decided to join the group of people that can't start their day without coffee. This way should be cheaper than going to my local coffee shop. Now that I've got my own internet, I've decided I shouldn't spend as much money on such frivolity. I don't miss the expeditions, that's for sure. No one yelling into their cell phones or talking about their problems with their children or snoring. Yes, snoring. Okay, Spencer sort of snores sometimes so that one doesn't count.

What I've Been Reading
I just finished The Red Heart of Jade by Marjorie M. Liu - Dirk & Steele Book 3 (paranormal mystery/romance) ... I felt as if I was missing something nearly the entire time I was reading this. I've loved this series and have the next three waiting on my shelf but there was something odd about this one. I'm pretty sure it was the storyline and what I was expected to believe but it felt very disjointed. Even though I've thought about it long and hard over the last two days, I can't figure out what it was that has me so disappointed and confused. I can still give this 3 out of 5 but not any more than that.

I have two books going at the same time. I'm reading Holder of Lightning by S.L. Farrell (straight up epic fantasy) at work. I've had it for awhile but finally picked it to read. So far I'm enjoying it. The second book is Mount Dragon by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child (slight paranormal added to what is mostly considered horror/mystery). This is the second book that they wrote together but not the second in the Pendergast series but I decided that I might as well read it in the written order as opposed to just reading the series books. LOVE the books these authors come up with... even to the extent that I read one book OUT OF ORDER. I'll tell you right now that I DON'T DO THAT.

And an author I want to gush about ... Chloe Neill who writes the Chicagoland Vampire series and the Dark Elite series. I've read the first book in both and I LOVE them. If you haven't read her yet and you like an interesting urban paranormal story from time to time, I'd definitely recommend her!

I've run out of time. Must get ready for work!
