is he a monkey or is he a pee-pot?
May. 1st, 2010 11:14 amToday is the first day of Story A Day but I realized that the first draft of the Marauder Big Bang is due within the next 12 days so I'm putting some effort into that today. Will write my first story later on today.... or possibly tomorrow. Eek! Already starting out poorly! and I will be starting on my first story because
fox_murphy was kind enough to point out that it's not due until NEXT MONTH. That's what I get for trying to keep track of things on my calendar!
My nephew is here for a visit this weekend. He, of course, brought his mother and father (since the poor little dear is only two weeks old and can't drive by himself yet) but they aren't important. Neither of them makes cute little faces or murmurs under their breath when they're trying to poop. Mind you, I haven't seen him since the day after he was born so it's so cool to see how much he's changed! Such a cute little face he has now! And awesome dark blue eyes that are already full of A LOT of intelligence. And he's a pee-pot, too. They got here about 8pm and he's already peed his way through SIX changes of clothes. Even Tif is a little surprised and in awe. We're blaming the altitude since they gained nearly a thousand feet in their two hour trip here. I've been going through my kids books so they have some to take home with them. That will be my job - official book giver. I don't have a lot of baby books, per se, so they'll have to make due until I can get some good ones ordered. I definitely need to get him The Hungry Caterpillar and Brown Bear and Stella Luna (our grandmother's name was Stella so we all love that book). And the kid obviously needs more diapers! *grins*
The morning started out deliciously bright and sunny but clouds are starting to move in. I blame Randye because it's her son's birthday party today and OF COURSE she was hoping to be able to have it outside. That's just asking for trouble!
Okay, must get to work. I need to start getting things marked off my To-Do list!
