I have achieved 21000 words on my marauderbigbang fic! I'm hoping to get it wrapped up in the next 4000 words but I need to completely rewrite the first part which should probably add words in the end instead of taking any away. I have a few betas in place (sort of) but would anyone else like to read it through for me? I'm hoping to have it ready for beta by next weekend but the edit is going to take some major work so that's a tad unrealistic. The more I push back when it gets to beta, the later the finished project is going to be! At this point, I'll be happy to get it in by the final deadline for the community but I'm not dead set on it. This fic has taken on a life of its own and I'm just happy to be writing it out instead of sighing and declaring that it'll be written someday and then shelving it FOREVER.

I truly, truly love Alice. While there's no way that my Alice is anything like what canon Alice was surely like, but I like her so much. I like what "canon" could be with Alice alive and with Sirius. I like the possibility of everyone working together instead of at cross purposes. It tickles my little fandom fancy!

In other writing news, I should be working on Castle fics but I can't seem to get inspired. I know where I want to go but I'm still irritated by the ending of this season. Couldn't they have at least TRIED to come up with a different twist? Oh well. Maybe I can pull out some drabbles and add some icons and be able to get the Alt Big Bang done.

Not doing the Inception Comment RP but I do need to write an Inception fic JUST BECAUSE.

Also need to work on some original fic JUST BECAUSE.

This may mean that I need to get off Facebook more often!

Summary: Set before Harry Potter comes to Hogwarts. Clara Ivanova, a chaser for the Vratsa Vultures, comes to Hogwarts for one of her all too rare visits to the only place she considers home. It would be nice if she could come more often but her career has to come first right now. That's what they decided on. One day she'll come back for good but for now these visits will have to get her through the dark times.

Author’s Note: I chose to use Rolanda as Hooch’s first name because it’s from the Trading Cards and I like the old-fashioned sound of it. I found Ivanova’s first name on the Harry Potter Wiki courtesy of a Famous Wizard Card in the video game. I like that both of their names come from cards.

I'm closer to the Blizzard-mobile than you are! No, not really.

Now that I'm back to using the Mac, I can start downloading TV again. Hooray! That makes me so happy! You can tell I'm happy because of the exclamation points. Sorry. Maybe now I can see The Vampire Diaries and the newest episodes of Supernatural!

I saw this random recipe in an ad for brownie cookies. You have to add stuff to the brownie mix that I couldn't remember so I had to improvise. They aren't bad! Maybe I'll eat less if I can't see the whole pan of brownies. It's worth a shot.

Now that I've finished one fic in time for a deadline, I have 5 more days to finish another. *headsdesk* I sure wish I could do these things without a deadline breathing down my neck. Odd how I can't think of a single idea until I'm days out. This one is well within my abilities so it should go quick.

The great news (for me) is that next week I'm on a quasi-vacation. VBS in the morning and I only have to go into work two days. That leaves a lot of "me" time! Hooray! My goal is to get some writing done. I won't waste my time!

I had fun this weekend with my sisters but I'm a bit put off with a friend of ours. She doesn't have the best relationship with her husband but she's always been there for her kids. This summer, she's decided it's time to be more selfish and she's joined a softball team. You don't think that's selfish? It is when you say yes to every single tournament and game and have to ferry your kids out. She had the car seats with her at the game today so instead of going with their Gramma they came to our house. I love these kids. Really, I do. But I hate that they could care less that they aren't with either of their parents. This just does not bode well for the future.

I'm on the third Devon Monk book (thank you soooooo much, Steph, for making sure I had the whole current set because I went right from 2 to 3!) and loving every single word. This is the kind of book that could keep you from sleeping (although I'm in need of sleep these days so it hasn't been that much of a pull for me). If you haven't read Magic in the Blood and Magic to the Bone, you really should.
