EDIT: Okay, this is why I have people check my math. 100x100 is 10000 and then if you take 1400 away from it you only get 8600. Not 86000. Wow. No wonder I was ready for some anticoagulants. I still have some of that coma lingering from last week. /pharmacy humor

Read the original portion below at your leisure. I'm not nearly as dead as I thought I was.

I had a mild heart attack today when I realized that I am currently part of three challenges: a Big Bang and two land comm things.

I need 7000 more words (I have a little over 9000 already written) in the [livejournal.com profile] syfybigbang that needs to be written like NOW to send to my patient artist who is waiting for SOMETHING from me. Need to just send her what I have so she can start. The end result is due the first part of February.

I need 9x300=2800 words for the [livejournal.com profile] scifiland I Love You Like Pancakes challenge due on February 6th.

I need 86000 more words (I have 1400 already written) for the [livejournal.com profile] stargateland Blow It Up challenge due (and this makes me breath a little easier) on February 27th. I'd thought this was also due the first part of February so COLOR ME HAPPY that it's not until the END of the month.

Needless to say, that is a big word count.

NINETY FIVE THOUSAND WORDS. 95k words. 95000 words.

In a little over a month.

When I first signed up for these, I thought I could reuse the two land comm stories for each other but Nope. I'm glad the head of the comm reminded me of that this morning.

Thankfully the stories are ALL about the same thing. The same person, as a matter of fact. I'm going to be the "All Ronon, All the Time" girl. I'm apologizing now any non-Stargate Atlantis people out there on my flist.

But you know what is really cool? The only new canon coming out for SGA (because the movie is pretty much shelves for the time being) are the new books coming out. I have them ordered. I'm going to read them and become familiar with the continuing canon and, you know, maybe write one myself. How many other fandoms can you even say that about? It's a POSSIBILITY with this one. I just need to work on my characterizations and this is what these stories are so I'd love feedback. If you think I need to skew a certain character, please tell me!

That being said, I have NINETY FIVE THOUSAND words to get to.

lar_laughs: (QUOTE - stars make me dream)
Possible titles:

Thank You. For Everything.
Guerrilla Warfare
A Worthy Death
When You Read This, I'll Be Gone
The Phoenix
Without You, We're Lost
All Forms of Combat
Are We Done?
Suicide Missions are My Specialty
Of All the Fights I've Fought
Set This House on Fire
On a Ship of the Fleet
The Sight of the Stars

So, I have a pretty good idea who is in each of these stories. I'll give you a hint. Ronon is in each and every one of them. Ten points for each guess as to who the other main person (not necessarily ship) in each will be. I'll give you a hint... I watched The Last Man last night and again this morning.

Cara Dillon was my first introduction to Irish music and I love her first album. As I was searching around tonight for something to listen to, I was reminded that she has an album out that I don't own so I thought I'd listen through it on YouTube. Love it! Need it!
