*sigh* I did it. I signed up for the Big Bang. It works into my schedule. I have the idea. Who am I to fight fate?

My pairings are going to be Ronon/Teyla and John/Elizabeth. Oh, quit gasping. I know you aren't surprised. I am trying to figure out who I'm going to pair Rodney with... someone interesting. It's going to be set during the early pioneer journeys of the American West. Back when you needed seasoned guides and help from the native people. I got the idea today while I was driving home from Mom and Dad's house. I've already got icons of Ronon in the right clothing. *grins*

I have 1000 words for the reverse big bang that I've been complaining about. I switched up to Teyla's POV and WHAT DO YOU KNOW? WORDS! Isn't that always the way of things? What's that movie line... from The Cutting Edge... "All we needed was a little flip." Yep, I just needed a flip. But be prepared for more complaining. This one isn't coming out easy. It's funny because I see the setting in my head. I've mapped out the big house. I can see the inside of the barn. I've seen whole scenes, just as if they're from a movie. The problem is that I HAVE NO REAL PLOT. I think I can see one. Something to do with poisoning cattle. Maybe some fire (although I've read my share of that) or major weather events. It's in a position where it could be both blizzards and tornadoes so I've got a lot to work with there. I'm just trying to work in bad guys and they're proving to be fickle.

But really I should be writing this gen fic that is due on Thursday. Well, the rough draft is due. I should go check on that. See if the community is still alive and all that.
