Today I made peach jam. This makes the fourth thing I've made with my two boxes of peaches. I'm also attempting a set of peach tarts but I fear that those aren't working out. One is strictly by the recipe and the other isn't and neither one is working out well.
I'm eating one of the containers of frozen peaches that I made with GINGER in the simple syrup! Oh my heavens! Ginger is so good with peaches! And there's a tad bit of cinnamon as well. I also made some Peach Gelatin with some cinnamon and it takes just like a peach pie!

Tomorrow is day one of the FDMNaNoWriMo. Our high school basketball teams start practicing so Favi can't write during the real NaNo (because I'm not going to be a masochist about her first year trying this) so I told her to pick a day and we'd start. I was really hoping she'd say TOMORROW and she said NEXT MONDAY but I started working with her on what she wanted to writing this afternoon and I got her convinced to start tomorrow. The other initials are Dani Marie and Mandie (my sis) who are also working on writing with us the next 31 days.
DM, because she's 10, is going to be writing 250 words a day. She's been able to get out 100 words a night this summer so I'm going to see how much I can stretch her during school. I'll see how this week goes and tweek it a little. While the girl is the smartest little girl I know, I don't want it to get in the way of school work.
Favi, a junior in high school, is doing 1000 words a day. She's new at this writing thing but that's how I started so I'm not too worried about her. She has her new notebook and the list of questions to consider. I'm going to stop by 6 days out of the week to write with her. I'm excited to see how she fairs at this!
Mandie... oh, Mandie. She's been working on her story for most of the summer and I know she put it aside when she was camp nurse but I don't know if she ever picked it up again. From the sounds of our short conversation today, it sounds like she's going to be working for both FDMNaNo and regular NaNo.

Last weekend, I started sewing together a braided t-shirt rug. I was so disappointed that I didn't remember to bring it home with me this weekend because both sisters were home. It would have been fun to see what they thought and if they had any ideas for me.
My nephew is soooo cute! When you ask him what a horse says, it sounds a lot like every other sound he makes for dogs, cats and elephants. The only one that sounds different is monkeys because he does love his macaco! He still thinks of "Auntie" as my sister but he'll figure it out... I hope.

Reading the Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian and it is a good series to read while you're waiting for the newest Brotherhood book to come out. The storytelling is good and I like the characters. I'd recommend the first one, at least!
