Oct. 17th, 2011 01:45 pmHappened across the
het_bigbang entry for this weekend and decided to check out the Stargate story there. It's a long one and normally I would wait to be able to put it on the Kindle but I started reading and I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO STOP!!!!

rinkafic is a WHAT IF the Ori had never come and SG1 was sent to Atlantis instead. I WANT THIS TO BE THE STARGATE MOVIE! This RIGHT HERE is what canon should be. I'm only halfway through and I NEVER read things from my screen that are this long. I get all distracted and lose interest. Not so with this story.
And it is so well written and explored that I find myself thinking "WHAT IF" right along with it. I'm usually only like that with canon but this is every bit as good and I can SEE the whole thing as I'm reading along. I love Cadmon in this and that she, John and Lorne are on an equal footing to start with. It's just this extra twist.
It's the sort of story that you don't want to quit reading. This morning, I couldn't figure out why I felt sort of bereft when I got to work. Like I was missing something. Turns out, it was because I'd had to quit reading the story!
Also,
jendavis has a new story in progress that is John/Ronon in the Vegas!verse that I am adoring! I've always been behind on her stuff so this is interesting reading it WHILE she's writing it. I like the sense of anticipation!
