Thanksgiving was a nice time with my family. Went to Mom and Dad's last night because Z was having his fourth birthday and I bought him one of the two things on his birthday list: 1) a white truck and 2) a little bitty cow for him to milk (the real kind, mind you). Guess which one I got him?
Yeah, I got him the cow. Not a live one because those are rather out of my price range but I found
THIS stuffed animal. HE LOVED IT! Named it Lightning (to go with his horse, Bullseye) and carried it around for the rest of the evening.
I also got to spend time with my nephews. N says Purple (Auntie M's favorite color) now and I gave it the shot trying to get him to say Blue (Auntie Lar's favorite color). W is tiny and cute and only a month old. He's like the polar opposite of his brother who didn't cry and barely moved when it was that old. W has acid reflux and cries and moves all over the place while you're holding him. He's adorable, though. I love him so much!
Came back to my house tonight because I have work tomorrow AND Saturday. Thought I'd get a better internet signal here but it's the end of the month slow down (or it might be the weather) and I've down to 3 bars so I'm not going to be streaming the movie I thought I'd watch tonight. Oh well. I'm doing the drinking game (not actually drinking anything alcoholic, though) for
stargateland which is fun because I'm trying to justify all the times that John talks about his feelings and the conversations Ronon has with zero words.
I'm finished with the first draft of my
sga_santa and I'm going to let it set for a few days before I go back to it. Now it's back to Consumed By FIre to finish it off. *sigh* I'm so tired of writing!
M and I talked about going to see
The Muppets tomorrow. She can't tonight because she's getting by after a night of work and no sleep so dark places are a no-no. Hopefully we'll see it tomorrow, though. I can't wait! I'm also looking forward to seeing
Hugo but I told F I would go with her.
Also... my family tried to kill me by putting onions in NEARLY EVERYTHING this year. Thankfully the rolls and the turkey were still onion-free. Mom put them in the green bean casserole! It's like the suddenly took a dislike to me and tried to get rid of me the hard way!!!! *grins*
Trying out my new Danbo Christmas icon. It's a bit early but I like it so it stays on the post!
