My barbeque attempt (as in, making semi-homemade barbeque sauce in the slow cooker) is a somewhat success but the meat still isn't as falling apart as I would like so it's STILL cooking. I do love my slow cooker, though. It is love.

Spending the weekend with my computer. I have 10 stories that still need to be written and that no longer includes the Leverage story since I was able to get an extention until next weekend. 10 stories that need to be 1000 words each. So... 10k this weekend? Sure. Sure... *weeps*

But I'm strangely invigorated by writing Streetlight People. And was able to pull out a Stargate story to make up for the 3000 words that I wrote last weekend that won't work. Well, can't work really. I'm not willing to put the time and energy into finishing what was turning into a monstrous story. I wonder if I can use it for a prompt instead????

I haven't found the right mix of music yet tonight. Only been trying for four hours now. Just in the wrong loop. *sigh* Will try again to see if this tweak doesn't work out a bit better.

Ummm... what else? Bought some salsa. Was reaching up into a high cabinet and accidentally pushed the open jar off the counter and onto the floor. That was fun. The book I'm reading is really good and I'm struggling to not pick it up and read it when I should be writing. So it's in the other room where it can think about what it's done wrong and see if it can't have a better attitude. If I go into the other room and put the book back by the keyboard, can I think about what I've done and it can write?

I need to charge my phone. Hopefully, writing it down will remind me to do it when I get off the couch next time.
