...this is what everyone else fears...
May. 31st, 2012 08:18 pmIt's nearly the first of June. I'm a little freaked out because I am, indeed, writing Streetlight People as my main story for the month. I've decided to concentrate on the number of "sections" I write instead of the number of words. I write roughly 2k a section so I'm aiming for 25 sections. If I get to 25 sections before the end of the month, I'm going to keep writing but that's what I'm aiming for. That should get me around the correct number of words. I will be interested to see if this works or not.
I'll also be interested to see if I can keep from giving in to the idea to write a super long Avengers fic instead of my original. I suppose I could do both but I don't want SP to suffer just because I have this need to write Clint like an ache in the jaw.
I'm starting off the month by housesitting. The up side, there is internet. The down side, I don't know if the netbook is working right now since I haven't used it in forever. The up side, there are cute dogs to play with. The down side, there are chickens to take care of. The up side, there isn't cable. The down side, there isn't cable.
It'll be a good way to start the month, though.
Before Camp NaNo begins, I have one more story to clear off my plate - a Leverage/Avengers crossover. I'm thinking Parker will make a very good Mockingbird with amnesia!!! *grins* And here Clint thought she'd left him and wandered off to be normal. Silly boy! I'm very much on the Hawkeye/Mockinbird bandwagon, knowing the little that I do about the two. I love Clint/Natasha but I also really love Bruce/Natasha. Of course, you know that I've never bounded myself by one pairing. Love and let love is definitely my motto.
I've stocked up on some summerish NaNo foods. Cherries will most definitely be on the list. I've some cheese and crackers tonight (nothing I made for dinner worked out well so I dug into my stash) and some Chobani yogurt. I feel honor bound to eat this kind because they're moving plants to Idaho and I must buy local! I've been keeping my eyes and ears open for any jobs opening up there. I think I'd love to work as an admin for a new company to the state like that. I'm sure I'd get some sort of discount on my yogurt. Also some pudding. That is a NaNo food no matter what season it is. Also some baby goldfish crackers. Love the little ones!
Why did I open this up? I can't remember for sure now. I think I covered whatever it was that I was going to say.
