A little about me and where you can find me

Hi! I'm glad you've stopped by my journal! Here are some links that will help your experience be delightful and informative.

I love to read. Every year, I keep track of the books that I read. You can find the 2013 list here and the 2012 list here. My Goodreads profile is also a fun place to stop by. Feel free to drop any suggestions of books you've read and enjoyed. I'm pretty no-holds-barred when it comes to reading so feel free to rec ANYTHING!

And I do mean anything. I'm nuts about history and am slowly working my way through some actual history textbooks but they're hard to carry around. I'll read most any sort of romance, including well written menage but I'm not big on PWP. My real love is steampunk and I'm also trying to veer into Dieselpunk and Mechpunk. I love Alternate Histories and literally foam at the mouth for a well written werewolf.

I also love to write both fanfic and original. If you like writing original stories, have you been by writerverse? It's a landcomm for writers! It also accepts fanfic and is a good way to be stretched as a writer.

If fanfic is your thing, you can find mine at my AO3 account or by looking through my (tags list). Some of the bigger fandoms I write in are (Harry Potter), (Stargate Atlantis), and (Avengers movie!verse).

MY TRANSFORMATIVE WORKS POLICY: Unless otherwise stated (and I seldom otherwise state), feel free to utilize my fanfic for podficcing, reccing, remixing or artifying. All I ask is that you let me know about it so that I can share in the joy! In the case of any of my originals, please talk to me first so that we can work something out. Not that I wouldn't love those to get some love but I do have my eye on someday being published and those are a bit more hidden.

-Stargate Atlantis (I just love Ronon so much!)

I participate every year in National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo and think you should, too!

In March, I shave off all my hair as part of St. Baldrick's to raise money for Childhood Cancer Research. I'd love it if you'd (donate) or find an event in your area to help out with.

I collect apples (not the ones that you eat but things that are decorated with them) and books.
My pirate name is Rickets Mae and I use it whenever I play Pirate Fluxx.
My family is also currently addicted to playing Ticket to Ride, a board game for the whole family.
