Busy, busy, busy!

*takes a deep breath*

The last Secret Santa story has been sent in. I need to do a quick remix of the stocking story I did last weekend since a bit of it confused Beth. Still, I'm feeling very happy about finally being able to say I'M DONE!

This means I can start on Christmas cards. SO SORRY! None of you have been forgotten, I swear. I think of the cards every day and have for two months. I'm going to sit down and work on those... tomorrow.

Inventory at work has almost been done EXCEPT for my bit of it but we've been so busy that I haven't been able to sit down and do the paper work I need to do. I really need to teach Beth how to do part of it but I can't bear to let any of it go because then I don't have my fingers in all the pies. GAH! But I'm so glad that we've got all the pills counted! Now that is FUN! *grins* If nothing else, it gave me an idea for a new Pharmacy AU chapter.

I need to make a writing post and I need to make a reading post. It is the new year, after all. One is coming! Perhaps this weekend!

Intrigued

I really don't mean to be an enabler and also know that I just came off a particular hard time with "have to"s and said that I wasn't going to sign up for things but I'm intrigued.

casestory is a Big Bang challenge (10k - not hard) that is just getting underway. I found this particular sentence in their rules to be intriguing... You don't have to write a novella, you may write connected oneshots as long as each of them is minimum 1,000 words long and they are related in some way (theme, timeline, location, etc.).

Wouldn't it be interesting to actually do it that way? Pick something that links a few mysteries together - they all take place in the same location (but are different mysteries) or revolve around the same weapon - and then pick several different fandoms! Or sets of characters. Or something. Something different.

Of course, it's too late at night to be contemplating these things! This is the time of night when I do something silly... like signing up for something that I TOLD MYSELF I WOULDN'T SIGN UP FOR!
