I'm watching The Bodyguard tonight because the TV was already set to this channel when I turned it on and I"m too lazy to find anything else. I do love this movie and remember when it came out. I was in college (shut it!) and me and my roommate and our friends went and saw it a hundred times (or so it felt) at the dollar theater. I used to be able to quote whole portions of this one (also The Cutting Edge) and had this insane idea that maybe I could be famous enough to get a bodyguard one day. Watching this movie again, I'm glad that my life isn't like Rachel Maren's. I'll take the one I've got.

It does give me some ideas... the kind that percolate in the brain... reinvigorating the senses....

Okay, so what movies from your childhood (and I won't judge when that was) do you still enjoy watching? Which ones have stuck with you? I'd love to see what movie lines you repeated over and over again.

NEWSIES. oh, Newsies. I will forever love it, no matter how ashamed of it Christian Bale is. I frequently catch myself singing the songs in my head (or out loud.) and when I had roommates, we would occasionally burst out in spontaneous song and dance in Newsies tributes.

LOOOOOOOVE Newsies! Christian Bale is ashamed of it? That's the reason I love him so! OR I did. The last few years have eaten away at that love.

Santa Fe is a lovely song that I love to sing from time to time! That is a soundtrack I need to find on CD. I wore out my tape of it a long time ago!

Grease... I was wee, got the record and it was glorious. I even collected cards for it.

later, I fell completely in love with Bull Durham and to this day it remains in my top 5 of all times. ♥

I don't think I've ever seen Bull Durham! That's one I'm going to have to rent, I think.

Grease has always been one of my top 5 movies! I think I can still sing all those songs!
