lar_laughs: (TBBT - a lot more street quote)
Has anyone else ever played the game that we tentatively called "He Said, She Said"? I learned how to play it in college and have proceeded to teach various groups the game through the years.

You find a group of people, witty or otherwise. Find each person a writing instrument and a piece of paper (some of my most memorable copies from past games are on the back of envelopes).

The different steps that I know are:
1. A boy's name
2. A girl's name
3. He said
4. She said
5. He gave her
6. She gave him
7. The consequences were
8. And the world said

You write the first one at the top of a piece of paper then fold it over so that it can't be seen. Pass it to the person on your right. Take the paper you are handed (from the person on your left) and, without unfolding it, answer the next question. Repeat the steps. Unroll when you are done and laugh at the results.

Okay, so my question, once again, is HAS ANYONE ELSE EVER PLAYED THIS? Does it sound familiar? Do you have different rules?

I'm thinking about making this into a future challenge for [livejournal.com profile] 5_prompts and have been thinking of the different variations that could come of it. I want to see if anyone else has any other neat ideas that are the same sort of game. Or maybe a game like it?

Really, as challenges go, it's just window dressing. My goal as Mod is always to dress up the window so that it doesn't look like the same thing over and over again... even though it is. *grins* I truly think I have more fun on this side of challenges. Of course, what makes it fun is that there are people who are playing. LOTS of people these days. More than I thought I'd ever get when I first started it over a year ago. I figured it would be a place I could use as storage for my writing and various ideas. Go figure!

I think so; I think it was he, she, and then maybe met at [location], he said, she said, consequence. But I could be mistaken :D

Never done the location but that would be something fun to put in there. Thank you!

I've never heard of that one, but I like it! I've played 'writey-drawey' which is another circle game. First everyone draws a picture/scene and passes it to the right. The next person attempts to write a sentence on what is happening in the picture/scene, then folds over the picture and passes it to the right. The next person tries to draw a picture/scene from the previous sentence/story, folds over the sentence/story and passes it to the right. At the end you giggle at how the original picture changed for the last picture/sentence - so like pictorial telephone. :B

Ahahaha when I saw the pencil-and-squiggle icon I thought I had posted the comment! I wonder if I accidentally yoinked the icon from you or took it from the source. :B Regardless I find it a delightful icon!

I just got it so we must have both snagged it from the source! *grins* Great minds think alike and all that!
