All I know is that I think I DO want to write in the SGU big bang this year if it falls in the right time frame.

I just find it confusing more than anything. So I get that the events of 'The Hunt' didn't happen for TJ in that timeline...but all of the other stuff presumably did. TJ/Young have never been close to rekindling anything so how did they wind up being the first to procreate together? Where the hell was Varro?

I say all of this of course with the understanding that I like both pairings (in two different ways)...but from a storytelling standpoint it just makes you go WTF.

Yes, I definitely think there was plenty of basis for TJ/Varro before the duplicate Destiny got lost in time. EVEN IF Varro was not along for the ride or somehow got injured/killed/lost, I just don't think that TJ would jump back into a relationship with Young. Granted, there aren't a lot more possibilities (although I can see them having visitors from other planets! Surely there are others in the "area"!) but they have too much history to be the FIRST to have a baby.

It's just very strange.

Were they trying to pacify the different shippers? Do they care about that sort of thing? Let one couple exist in one reality and the other in another?
