Lavender was out of hairspray but no one seemed to be as worried about it as she wanted them to be. She’d had to order this bottle from Paris where the bottlers claimed to use only the fruit extracted from the Cloud Flower grown on the northern slope of the Exor Mountains. Even though she’d never heard of that mountain range – or of a Cloud Flower, she was sure the price was worth it.
Now it was gone. Even if she sent an owl immediately to order a new bottle, it wouldn’t get here in time. She needed it now.
