I never thought I would ever get to say this but I think I'm done with these INCREDIBLY IRRITATING YET SATISFYING edits. As I told Aster yesterday (after a rather horrible fit on Thursday night where I contemplated giving up each and every community I belonged to because I was feeling overwhelmed and I'm so very tired of feeling overwhelmed), I think this experience was good for me. The editing process alone was priceless.

While I should read through this to make sure that I've finished all the little Fit something in here areas, what I really want to go do is read a chapter of some book that has nothing to do with any of this and not think about writing for awhile. Then, of course, I'll need to come back to the computer and start writing again because I have things due in two weeks that I had to put off for the editing.

I should also think about a shower.

You definitely need to take a little time off from the project. I can never get a clear vision of what my novel is like unless I've taken at least a couple of weeks as a break to read and watch stuff that's totally different.

These edits were for a big bang story that I've been working on over the last few months. Most of the time, it was kicking and screaming. I don't think I've liked this idea... EVER! Those are the sorts of things I need to quit signing up for. Just sort of stupid to be wasting time on stuff I don't want to do!

My new problem is that I took a step back from some of the original stuff I've been doing but now I've lost the forward momentum on the idea! That doesn't concern me too much as I'm only doing world building for it at this point but I just need to make sure that I do, in fact, get back to work on it!

Yeah, as much as I love fandom stuff, I finally decided I had to go cold turkey. Fandom was taking so much time I wasn't getting any original writing done.

So what original stuff have you worked on today? :) I have only scribbled a few scene notes since I spent most of the day in the car, but before bed I plan to write a scene. *G*

I've been doing world building stuff for writerverse, a land comm that is dedicated to writing. It gives me a good excuse to WRITE because it's for points and you can never go wrong when it's for points. I've been working on Streetlight People and I'll probably continue to do that until June because 5_prompts is doing both Camp NaNos so I'll be trying to get through both of them.

Hope you have enough in you to get it all out into the scene!

That's awesome though! I'm doing inkingitout this year, with a total annual goal of 200k words, so I must be a masochist too. :P

I didn't get the whole scene written, but I'm determined to do some writing tonight before I sleep. This scene is just...not...wanting...to...be...written. Urgh.

I left a poll at the community asking people which Camp NaNo they wanted to do and it came back split between the two so I figured we'd do both. We'll see how that works!
