“Idiots,” Susan murmured to Megan as the two of them watched Justin and Ernie disappear down the stairs. The two had been practicing (showing off, really) a new Quidditch move and had gotten too close to the stairs. Susan had bided her time and screamed at just the moment the boys were poised on the edge. The distraction sent them over the edge and out of the way.
“Brilliant!” Megan grinned, picking up her quill. “Where were we? Number three?”
There was a rumble of irritation from the vicinity of the stairs but neither of them paid it much attention.
