The room was dark but Echo knew the layout well enough that she didn’t need light to find her way to the doorframe. A right here and then a left. It was just like she’d memorized it. She was very good at memorization.
“Echo.”
She jumped, unable to contain the reaction to the soft voice in the shadows. “What are you doing out of bed, November.”
“I was concerned for you. Do you need any help?”
As the girl spoke, Echo moved forward slowly until she felt soft skin under her fingers. She loved to run her hand up November’s arm, feeling the corded muscles that weren’t evident by a glance.
“I’m fine. Thank you for your concern. Would you like to come with me?”
Echo closed her eyes to more fully enjoy the caress of the girl’s hand on her cheek. To be touched like this made her toes curl. It was better when it was done in the dark, when the pictures in her head could become a reality of sensation.
The other girl was very close when she spoke again, her body heat warming Echo when she couldn’t stop shivering. “I would like to come with you. I feel safe with you.”
A different sort of warmth spread through Echo. November needed her. That was a nice sort of feeling, much like the kind she had after her treatments. It was important to her to feel needed. The feeling better even than the mingling of heat between her legs when she touched November like this, her fingers circling a soft breast.
“You will like this place we’re going to. It’s… private.”
When November shivered, Echo could feel the response run through her own body. It would be good to be in a room with just November. Echo hadn’t intended to bring anyone along but it made sense to bring a friend. They had much they could share together while there was no one around to interupt.
“Let’s go quickly.”
Echo agreed and stepped away, sorry to leave the warmth of her friend but happy to know they would be together again very soon.
