“Uncle George? I’m bored.” Rose ran a finger over the edge of the only shelf she was supposed to touch in the store. All the boring toys were on this one shelf. There were interesting things as far as the eye could see and she couldn’t play with any of them.
“Bored, little Rosebud? We can’t have that. Try… these.”
Her favourite uncle tossed her a box filled with a strange flesh-coloured toy. “What do these do?”
“If you figure it out for yourself, your mother can’t yell at me for giving you ideas not suited for a young lady.”
