Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] slightlyjillian, I fell into a vortex of cute! And now, so can you! These are my favorite two (so far) and I thought I would share them with you. Please, for your own safety, do not drink or eat while watching these videos.

FACT!!!!

That's a Polly Pocket... I don't know her name...

I fell in love with this song at the Closing Ceremonies and now I'm in love with the album! This song, that I can tell, isn't on Spotify yet so I just have to listen to it over and over on YouTube! This is my writing music tonight!

I wanted to share some music this morning.

From the wiki: E.S. Posthumus was an independent music group that produced film trailer style music. Their style is a form of classical that intertwines popular style drum rhythms with orchestral and electronic sounds. Their music is inspired by the Pythagorean philosophy which states that "music is the harmonization of opposites; the conciliation of warring elements". The E.S. is an acronym for "Experimental Sounds" while Posthumus is a Dog Latin word that is meant to represent "all things past".

Arise is perhaps one of my favorite pieces of music right now. I love nothing more than to plug this into my car stereo as I'm driving to work and turn up the volume! There is so much, dare I say it, hope in this song. Plus... sweeping orchestration gets me every time!

I like the smoothness of this song.

Ah, their beautiful rendition of Moonlight Sonata! I love it!

A great fan-made trailer for the Black Widow movie! I love how that few seconds of JR drinking (I think it's from Ghost Protocol) is used all the time in these videos. It leaves me all hot and bothered!

Wow! This is awesome! This song is definitely Iron Man's anthem!

Song: Robbie Williams: "Come Undone"
Footage: Iron Man I, Iron Man II, The Avengers, Captain America
Also featuring: Steve, Pepper, Natasha, Bruce and Howard Stark
Rating: PG-13 due to lyrics

for listening:

for watching:

I haven't seen Snow White and the Huntsman yet (not sure if I want to pay money to see if on the big screen when I could wait for it to come out on the little screen and maybe not notice the lack of acting of a certain female whom we will not mention here) but Beth saw it this weekend (she wanted to see Chris and her husband wanted to see Charlize) and told me I needed to look up the soundtrack. It is devine but the Florence song steals the show... as the Florence song on any movie does!

Thought I would share it here so that you can enjoy it. It's also within easy reach when I want to watch it again.

summer meme @ [community profile] caffeinatedmagic
Open all summer.

Check it out! Loving me some sunshine right now... although, this is the first day of the holiday weekend that the sun is peeking out of the clouds. Not hot, though. Blerg!

I'm alone in the house today. Dad and Mandie are at the Memorial Day festivities in town (a new veteran monument type thing has been proposed and I think they're setting up the initial holder of said monument), Mom is at work, and Alex and Tif left for home. It's just me!!!!! I'm working on the dishes (in sections, as is my favorite way of doing said chore), catching up on YouTube (I was woefully behind on the Nerdist and Geek & Sundry channels although now I'm watching Felicia's Vaginal Fantasy Hangout videos) and coming up with Camp NaNo writing prompts for [community profile] 5_prompts (feel free to join if you're doing either of the Camp NaNo's because we're doing both of them this summer).

Okay, I have to tell you that I haven't stayed up past my bedtime reading in a long time... not that I haven't stayed up past my bedtime but it's been awhile since it was because of reading. Graceling by Kristin Cashore is WONDERFUL! I didn't jump right into the second book although I bought all three together because I have a problem with reading the second in a series right away. I can't wait to read the second, though! The idea behind the Graces is really great and I like that everyone who is Graced has two different colored eyes but they aren't the same color. It felt like the people were more "individuals" and not just the same person over and over again.

Right now I'm reading Masked, an anthology edited by Lou Anders. I've had it in my wishlist at Amazon for a very long time and finally bought it a couple of Amazon shipments ago. I'm not the hugest fan of anthologies because there's a lot of ebb and flow of quality and how much I like the story. There's a story from Marjorie M. Liu (a writer I enjoy who is now going to be writing the Black Widow comics) that I'm looking forward to, though.

Okay, I must get on with my day and get this posted.

Video

Found this video this morning...

That is such a Tevan/Kilce video that I can't even stand it. Tevan's face is Dan but he's much older than I wanted the characters to be do I made it so he was further away in the picture. Stephanie (Plumb) was almost Kilce (and the reason that the character had purple streaks in earlier incarnations) but then I found the blue hair pic and I never looked back.

When I found this video this morning, I realized that THIS is a Streetlight People video, though. The clothing is almost spot on what I imagine in my head. I swear I haven't seen this video before today! It mirrors my thoughts enough on the 'verse that it's kind of freaky!

enjoy!

Sorry, sorry, sorry. I'm going to bed now. I promise.

I'm not sure why I went looking for this... yes, I'm that tired as it was all of five minutes ago but here is a video of Ben Browder and Claudia Black at a Q&A session at a Farscape Con.

and then she answers the question...

I do love these two together so much. My problem is that I like Claudia better as Aeryn and Ben better as Cam so I'm soooo torn.

A nice video to invigorate your Monday morning!

I don't recognize some of the clips. *gasp* I think I need to go rewatch Season 2 again. That might be my weakest season although it's been awhile since I've done a good rewatch of Season 1. It's amazing to me that the scenes from Bad Wolf Bay can still make me tear up, even in something like this.

These are really excellent Harry Potter fanvids! I teared up during both of them!

And now I'm off to work. It's Thursday! *does the end of the week dance*

Just in time for Valentine's Day!!!! The second episode of Assassidate!

*twirls around the room with glee*

*falls down but crawls over to the computer to watch it a second time*

Have you seen this?????

Linkin Park sings Rolling in the Deep by Adele!

I LOVE IT!
lar_laughs: (Leverage - OT3)
I've been in a Leverage loop the last couple of days. Amazon just sent me the first two season so I've been burrowing through them. Then someone shared a fanvid and I got stuck in another loop. So I thought I'd share with you!

Come! Share the pretties with me! )

I've never heard of Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls before tonight but I'm excited to discover them!

This is a great song (both lyrically and musically) and I think does a good job of conveying Harry's attitude toward Severus toward the end of the series. Of course, I can't wait to see The Prince's Tale on the big screen!
