Gacked from [livejournal.com profile] cybermathwitch and [livejournal.com profile] anuna_81:

Tell me about stories you think I should write. I mean, if you could sit me down for a day or whatever and say, "K, I want you to write this story for me," what would that story be?

I'm not actually promising to *write* any of these, mind you, but it's fun anyway. And who knows if I'll be inspired!

Let's see. Fandoms I create in these days. That's a tough one.

Avengers (mostly movie!verse but I'm picking up some things about some of the other characters from the comic!verse that have got me all excited to try writing them), Harry Potter, Once Upon a Time, Leverage, Veronica Mars (I've been putting her on the list again because I have a yin to maybe start something up with her in it), Being Erica, Doctor Who, Firefly, Buffy, Stargate Atlantis. Have I forgotten one that you need to remind me of?

Hit me with all your AUs, crack ideas, interesting plots, strange twists, remixes, fic-fixes. I'm taking on all commers. Like the meme says, I'm not guarenteeing to write anything but I could use the ideas.

We have snow today. Since I haven't had to be out in the weather for the past few days, I find I just don't care. *grins* That's the only way to appreciate snow.

Here is today's inspiration. I was going for something pretty but instead, I'm putting up something that is very multi-layered. You can take this picture/saying many ways. For real. Facetiously. With a smug look. With a frown. If nothing else, it makes you think.

Incidently, I love all the a softer world stuff. There is a whole fandom remix of some of these, too, and that makes me equally happy.

Go forth! Create! Be happy!

I've written over 3000 words in a new AU today. Or, to be more precise, the "prequel" to the Seven Devils story. There's no way this is going to be done soon because I've only touched on the actual story and must get myself from one dance to the next to be able to use it for the prompt. I'm thinking the overall story itself can be told in multiple "stories" so that I'm not really carting around a WIP so much as I'm just expanding on the story every time I pick up the thread.

Oh, the lies I have to tell myself.

There is so much history to delve into for this period piece even though I'm going to take the actual American Civil War in a much more AU way than it really went. I love the history of Denver and the other gold rush towns in the Rocky Mountains. So interesting! I never really thought about how much of the Civil War was fought in the western states or how important Denver was. Both sides of the conflict wanted to control the flow of traffic through the town because whoever controlled Denver, controlled the money coming in from the West Coast. Fascinating stuff, I tell you. Fascinating!

Plus, the time frame begs to be steampunked! This is a story I've wanted to write for several months now but was given a direction for this first part with a prompt I picked up at the [livejournal.com profile] be_compromised Valentine's Promptathon.

I started listening to some Celtic music but rapidly moved to The Civil Wars to get the right vibe. To Whom It May Concern and Barton Hallow could very well be my very favorite songs! Wait. No, my favorite song would be The Violet Hour. Now that song is pure perfection! I'm branching out into the bluegrass versions of popular songs, found courtesy of knowing that Billie Jean had once been done in that style and wanting to add it to the playlist. Now I just need to remember to hit ADD when a song hits my fancy.

OMG! LIVING ON A PRAYER done in BLUEGRASS! EXQUISITE! This version isn't as good as the one I found on Spotify but it'll give you an idea of how great this sounds with the banjo and violin! *grins*

I immersed myself in the Rose portions of Doctor Who yesterday and was able to get more written of the Ten/Rose story that is due the first of March. The possibility of it being done in time is very good because I found a segue between what I'd written and what needs to be written so it goes with the prompt.

I'm so glad that I took the last couple of days off. It's so much easier to recognize stress and deal with it when you can pull away from it. I no longer feel like a spectator to my life. My muse didn't stop talking to me so much as I was plugging my ears, unable and unwilling to hear her. Oh, the ideas! They swirl around my head. It's so beautiful!
