March 13th.

The day I shave off all my hair AGAIN. Second year in a row! And when I do this, I will be the first woman shavee to do it two years in a row!

Why am I doing this? I know you're asking yourself that very question. Or you're muttering Weirdo under your breath.

Check out St. Baldrick's Organization and you'll understand why. My sister did this the year before me. She found out about it because she's a Pediatric Oncology Nurse. Yes, she works with cancer kids. The kids that rip out your heart with a smile. The ones that never give up even when they're given horrible odds. The little girl that I shaved for is in remission this year (HOORAY!) so I'll be shaving for someone else. I'd give more of myself if they wanted it. An arm. A leg. But they only need money and I'm going to try to help raise more this year!

And to make it even more special, my sister and I are doing it together this year! That's very cool because I love doing things with my sister.

You'll hear more about it. We've got MONTHS before I start even thinking about fundraising. I just wanted you to be thinking about it... *grins* It's a worthy cause to donate to... money or hair! Or even time! There's bound to be one in your area!

It's so much fun, too! I spend the entire day crying but I love the whole idea behind it! And the kids... they kill me with they're smiles. But I love them, too!

Gosh, now I'm crying again.

And i will definitely mention it again! I have to count on my online friends because I don't have that many RL friends. Wonder why that is... *grins*

Need Your Advice As Mod Of Challenge Comm, From Gabby

Because I have so much to change in the comm and I've actually came up with like 6 more questions I *really* wanted added to this weeks poll since its the FIRST one ever and we're a new comm, I was thinking of deleting all the entries there are currently because I have so much to add like;

Newbies Guide - this would be a FAQ for what members frequently ask me and where if they have questions about how the comm works or what is going on (beyond just like affy requests which would go under Page-A-Mod) then it would go here.

Informational Post - tells exactly what the comm is and does, how to get points, what will be doing each week, important links, etc.

Sig Tag Request Post - people can reply that they can be 'sig makers' for people if they need them, newbies and old members that can't really or aren't graphics oriented and then people can reply to those posts asking for them. This would be open forever and each sig made would be then given points to their team.

New Challenges - I've got a lot of new challenges since we're a new comm I'd like to add - like icons for the teams, headers (if its not already there), sig tag and icon contest for me, an extensive challenge for giving trivia questions with answers for later use and things like this.

Poll - I have a lot of stuff I've really thought of that is important to me to add to the poll but I don't want people to have to fill out like 3 polls so if I re-did it now it would only be a second time instead of numerous, you know?

Then it would all be more updated with everything I think that needs to be there and more organized and really ready for action.

Oh and the biggest is I've decided to have everyone join the main comm too and make almost all of the posts members only because I don't want outsider, non-members posting.

But, I'd like your opinion first?

Again- I keep thinking this would be fun to do but I'd be such a vain brat. I'd totally have to have a really cool wig and I think then that the purpose would be defeated...

I still need to talk to Mandie but I think we should have team shirts made this year that say It's just hair! It'll grow back! because it's so very true. I had more hair that I knew what to do with by April and that was only a month later. That right there is only 3 months of hair. Now, if you want long hair... that I can't help you with. But hair... that's nothing!
