Watched a lot of Hulu this weekend. Caught up with Castle and Dollhouse. Watched the last SGA once again because I've turned into a Ronon/Amelia shipper LIKE WOW. Yesterday was Community and Glee and White Collar (so good!) and SGU.
Then on to movies. The Village (only my third time watching it so I'm still picking up on bits and pieces), Bourne Identity and Supremacy (I need the third!), 17 Again (I just can't stay away from this movie), Sense and Sensibility (with, as Aster put it, Snape, Trelawney and House but also Pomfrey! *g*), part of Pride & Prejudice (because I got sort of bored - don't gasp like that!) and I have Flyboys waiting in the wings.
Finished a book. The second this month. *sigh* I must read more! It's important! I was always the girl with her nose in a book but suddenly I'm not picking up a book as much. Even when I'm writing, I should be reading. It's just wrong.
Trying Chex Mix Sweet & Salty Caramel Crunch. Think I prefer Chocolate Turtle more. Have a bag of that as well.
One of my little "nieces" was bit by a black widow yesterday. Quite the scare! Learned some interesting things that I didn't know - only the female has the red mark on her back (perhaps I did know this and I forgot?) and you can't be allergic to horses to take the new anti-venom serum they've concocted. Can't wait to get to work tomorrow and find out WHY that is. Pretty much the only reason that I'm looking forward to work. Found out the Emily put in her notice. *long, dramatic sigh* That leaves just me and "coworker" (for those of you who follow my rants on Twitter, although I've been trying to be good lately) as techs. We've done it with two people but that just means that I have to carry the burden of coworker on my shoulders.
I shouldn't complain. At least I have a job. That shall be my mantra! I am determined not to let this sideline me with irritation and grief.
6 more days to NaNo... 6 more days.

Date: 2009-10-26 06:21 pm (UTC)From:I used to read between writing scenes but now I get on Facebook and play games. *growls at Facebook* It's horrible! Of course, I can't stop myself. But I've been trying to remember to carry my book around with me again. And another part of the reason that I'm not "finishing" a lot of books is because I'm putting a lot more books down. I'm getting more specific about what I want to read so I don't read everything I pick up anymore. Very sad! Poor books that aren't good enough for me. *g*
And hooray NaNo!!!! It starts filling me with joy about August. I need my shirt this year. Haven't had the money to purchase one but hoping to have one by the end of the month. Will just have to wear my other NaNo shirts. I have pictures and a couple of possible storylines so I think I'm ready. Or I'm delusional. One or the other!

Date: 2009-10-26 07:00 pm (UTC)From:I write more in the Fall and Winter, too! The last two years have been the only two years that I didn't have the push but it wasn't NaNo's fault at all. I had... other things going on. But this year I'm hoping to ride a wave through at least April when Script Fenzy starts up. Sometimes I do SF and sometimes I don't. Either way though, it gets me excited again!
I like to have the t-shirts because 1)I'm addicted to buying t-shirts for the places I go online (even own an LJ shirt) and 2)I like that people will stop and read the shirt and ask about it. Especially the special anniversary t-shirt from last year with AUTHOR and 10 on the back. They rank right up there with my St. Baldrick's shirts on the funness rating!
