"Why won’t you listen to me," Ginny screamed even though she knew no one was listening. They never did. The house may have been nearly exploding with people but it seemed cavernous when she wanted to throw a tantrum. All she asked was to be treated like an adult. She'd earned it after all.
"Harry, so good to see you. Come in," she heard her mother say from down below. Seething, she sank down onto her bed. There was no way they were going to listen to her now that their favorite child was home. She was beginning to hate Harry Potter with the same savagery that she disliked her brothers. All of them. They were all morons. Idiots. Savages. MEN!
She was prepared to wait for hours for the guest to leave so she could begin her tirade once again but there was a knock at her door before she could work back up to the rant she had going.
"Ginny? It's Hermione. Can I come in?"
Picking up her wand, she unlocked the door. "Nice to see you," she said charmingly as the older girl walked in. Of course Hermione would be here. She was with Harry or Ron almost every minute of the day as if she enjoyed being around boys.
"I heard you had a bad morning."
"Don't tell me my mother is talking about me to all of you. I'm going to put a slug in her favorite shoes."
"No. Charlie pulled me aside to tell me what was going on. He figured I could help talk you out of your mood."
She shook her head until red hair coated her face, hiding her rage. "It's not a mood. It's a way of life these days. All I want to do is help them out. They seem to think I'm too much of a child to add to the family coffers."
"And screaming is going to help?"
To prove that it did, she screamed some more.
