Have any of you ever tried litlift.com to help with plotting of a book/story? I ran across it on the NaNo forums (because I have NOTHING better to do than to stress about where my plotting will come from this year) and found the YouTube presentation to be very interesting.

Doesn't look bad... the price is right, and it's cool that it's online, but I remain a fan of Scrivener. :)

I do like things that are online because I got back and forth between the Mac and the Netbook so often that I need something that is the same on both. And the prices IS great!

Looks interesting. I've tried yWriter but have found it buggy to use on Vista, so this could be a good alternative :)

Is yWriter the same sort of plotting tool? I've been looking for something to help me plot. This looks like it could help but I definitely see myself NOT using it because I would get lazy half way through the process. But that's on me and not indicative of the software itself. But it's something!

It's both for planning /organising, and, if you want, for actually writing the novel.
From the site: "yWriter is a word processor which breaks your novel into chapters and scenes, helping you keep track of your work while leaving your mind free to create. It will not write your novel for you, suggest plot ideas or perform creative tasks of any kind. yWriter was designed by an author, not a salesman!
yWriter5 is free to download and use"

And here's a thumbnail of a screencap:

Thanks for the link. I'm trying to convince myself that I have time for NaNo!

My motto is that you always have time to try it - even if that means you push yourself a little harder than you do every other month! :D
