The Wordsmith to the rescue!

My costume is done! I'm going as a superhero that I invented.. the Wordsmith! My cape is an ice-lilac colored silk, straight from my cousin's wedding dress! We took two panels, edged them nicely, and put on arm bands. I made a W with purple/blue/pink duct tape. Then I have a navy tshirt that I did a W on. I took off the cover of a composition notebook, taped on a handle and put an A and a Z on it for my shield. I hope I don't ruin this forever but I have a thick leather bracelet that I taped some writing pens as sort of a wrist gauntlet weapon sort of thing. It is a thing of beauty! I'm going to try it out tomorrow at Will's birthday party (it's a dress up affair!) and see if I need to redo anything for Wednesday.

Now I have to remember what I did with my mask...

I didn't get any good ones today (although I did discover that the costume itself works and I should be able to wear it all day on Wednesday so hooray) but I should get some on Wednesday!

Thanks! It turned out really cool! And I think I'll get to wear it more than just Wednesday!
