In honor of All Hallow's Eve, I'm inviting trick-or-treaters to my 'door.' Comment "trick-or-treat" to this post and...well, you know the drill. Treats can be anything that strikes my fancy (pics of fave actors or pairings, one sentence fics, graphics, a few words why I'm glad to have you on my flist, etc. etc.). The more "houses" to visit the more fun it'll be, so go ahead, open your journal and help spread the fun!
*If you leave me a list of fandoms you're into (or two or three fandoms, at least), that would be very helpful! Thanks!

For a girl who has everything, Alexis Barton was very easy to please. She needed only a quiet corner, a stack of books and the promise of a shooting range somewhere nearby when she got tired of reading. For the most part, her wishes were met.
But then came the day when her mother and father decided that she spent too much time alone or with the children of their friends. "What she needs is some normal friends," she overheard her father telling her mother when she should have been asleep. "Friends that don't have parents who understand about gamma radiation or super solider serum. Friends who go to parties that don't involve Spot-The-Alien. Normal, every day friends."
It sounded like a lark at the time so she went along with the idea. Until the dress fitting. "Why do I need a dress?"
Her mother mumbled something about the proper procedure and Alexis' heart sank. When her parents mentioned friends, she thought they meant the sort of people who went for coffee and discussed literature and art. Unfortunately, they meant the kind of people who ate tiny cakes with their tea and had dogs named Diamond.
"Kill me now," she muttered as the flash went off and her parents got a record of her only normal party for their scrapbooks. There would be no more.
