I decided to work in the kitchen tonight in the hopes of being super productive! My dad just walked in and said, "Sometimes you have to slow down and take a break from things."

He was so close to being smacked.

I've been slightly derailed by Aster's RL getting the best of her. I should have known that was going to happen and I'm kicking myself! I also need to decide on Secret Santas or NaNo. I've got to quit doing BOTH. It never works out to my advantage and then I end up like a limp rag at the very time when I need my wits about me. This is not a time of year where I can veg in RL! You'd think I would have learned this lesson last year. Geesh!

Anyone have time to read the 3k+ of Lorne/Parrish goodness that I have so far and telling me if I'm going down a good road?

Also, anyone up for a beta sometime this weekend of Secret Santa Clint/Natasha #1? It's hovering in the 3k range.

I've also decided that I think that I need to split what I have so far of SP into two separate stories. In my head, I think the idea is a good one. I'm pretty sure that this means that either Beth or Aster (or both) is going skin me.

I'm always here for your betaing needs. I haven't watched Stargate in a while, so I'm not sure how helpful I'd be on the Lorne/ Parrish front. But, really, can you go wrong with Lorne? He's such a sweetheart.

Sorry that you feel you're swamped. Maybe set NaNo on the backburner for a bit and come back to it fresh for the new year?

I'm totally going to send you the #1 link. It's ever so close to an ending! I will send you the L/P story, too, if you don't mind. I mostly just need to make sure that it WORKS. Am I assuming things that I haven't written?

And I would LOVE to stop thinking about the NaNo story but it keeps cropping up in my head. *grins* You know how it is, you think of exactly the thing you keep telling yourself not to think about. And it's not a new thought. I've been wondering about the split since... oh... November 20th. I just need to make sure that any "changes" at this juncture doesn't mean I just STOP. That is SO my MO on these things which is why I'm sure that Aster won't like this thought. She will tell me to just WRITE IT and we can take care of it all in edits but I can't write when I'm thinking it should be different.

Argh. The pitfalls of writing. I'm looking at the mess I came up with my NaNo and waiting until after Secret Santa to sort it out. I legit have four different introductions.

Read at your leisure! My self-confidence is slightly bit higher than it has been. For some reason, thinking about C&N at Christmas has not necessarily sparked ideas but has gotten my creative juices flowing! I think I can work through tonight and on into tomorrow on it!

I'm good with notes! Right now, I'm just wanting to make sure that the stories are viable as I head into the ending process. I always have trouble in this bit as I start to doubt the story. I will seriously take WHATEVER! I've got the self-confidence to take notes but I don't trust myself to have written a good story. You know? If you have the time, I would love the help!
