Hermione rolled her neck, trying to look as if she was stretching. If the people around her could tell she was about to scream, there might be a poor recommendation on her job application. There was such a thing as starting at the bottom – and then there was enduring pain for a paycheck.
“B5.”
“BINGO!” someone shouted.
“Bring your card up,” Mrs. Granger said into the sputtering microphone, “and we’ll give out your wonderful prize.”
The only good thing she could say about this job was it was making her appreciate the plight of the House Elf all the more.
