innerslytherin* Got the package today and it was full of awesome! Yes, I'm still collecting Coke tops and I've read the first Devon Monk book but have failed to collect the rest in a timely manner! The graphic novel is LOVELY! Thank you thank you thank you thank you!
Right now I'm working out the October schedule with my sister because she's planning a trip to Phoenix that is turning into a girls weekend out to DISNEYLAND with some of her college friends. I think I'm willing to QUIT MY JOB so that I can make this trip with her.
Spencer is having the start of stomach troubles again so I'm nipping it in the bud right away. She's not liking the routine I've started for her but I DON'T CARE. I'm not going to deal with that again! Hope she's still speaking to me when this is all over.
Streamed TiMER from Netflix last night, staring Emma Caulfield (who, incidently, has a Twitter account - @emmacaulfield). It's a very cute movie that I really enjoyed. Now that I have sound again, I'm going to start doing that more often. Who cares about reruns!!!!
Now that I rearranged my desk, I sit right beside a window that I can open for a cool breeze (the good kind!) in the evenings. The breeze is coming from the river (about "two" blocks away) and smells so phenomenal. This is exactly what I miss about this place when I'm not here. There is nothing better than the smell of the river in the evenings.
Rory and I had a difference of opinion over what I was going to do the other night (morning, really) when I came home from the midnight movie. She wanted to play. I wanted to sleep. I won but not without a lengthy battle. She was still pissy the next day but I think we've successfully made up. It helped that I spent time on the couch with them last night while watching the movie. I need to spend more time with the pets.
Have you ever had Watermelon Salad? It's lime, sugar and watermelon. I saw the recipe in a Sunset magazine today. I need to remember to copy it tomorrow so I can share it because it sounds... AMAZING!
