Two things I don't get...

People who are rude when it's not MY FAULT that their insurance hasn't paid any part of their medication.

Writers who are stuck on this "5 times..." tangent. To me, that is a one time only sort of thing. It shouldn't be the ONLY kind of fic you can write.

But I'm probably just complaining about that because of the first one so take it with a grain of salt.

I get tired of seeing the five times fics. I've done a couple of them, and I've seen a lot of them done well. But too often they're not done well. :/

It was cool when the idea first came out but it has a shelf life, much like the 100 word prompt table and writing 100 word drabbles. What I must keep reminding myself is that just because I have known about the idea for a long time, there are many people who are new to fandom that think it's a really cool new idea. So I must not judge. *sigh* Which is hard for me. *grins*

I don't understand why people are rude, period. I can understand being frustrated, yes, but taking it out on the person who is the messenger and not the decision maker is just wrong.

Re: 5 things fics ... if that's the ONLY kind of fic a person writes, then yeah, time to steer clear there. My pet peeve with fics are the RPF ones where they take celebs and then put them in what is otherwise a completely original fic. Just change their names and get on with the original writing already!

I KNOW! Some RPF ideas are perfect fic ideas and if they changed the names, it would be a good story. It's just kinda creepy!

Rude people drive me insane - because it's never their fault (especially when it is) and they are darn persistent. That's why I always make a point to be as chill as possible with workers of any sort. They're just doing their job, after all, there's no sense in being ridiculous about it. *sigh* People will never learn.

I think I've done the "5 times..." thing once and didn't even like it very much then lol. They can be done well, but you're right, they should really be used sparingly.

I try to be really calm around workers, as well. And I tip super well when I can. I usually do okay with being "yelled at" for no fault of mine but by most Fridays I get really tired of it.

*grins* I tried the 5 things once, too. Couldn't do it. Only came up with three things and the story took a completely different tangent so I just ran with it. I guess if it works for some people, I shouldn't judge.

Same problem! I got to two (so you actually did better than me lol), couldn't think of any more, and ended up doing two separate stories. I think later I went back and bs'd my way through 5, cause it was for some contest or another and I can't stand not to finish lol.
