So in addition to the 13 books I'm taking on vacation with me (I generally take one a day to be on the safe side), I also printed out three fanfic (RONON!) to take along. One is rather long and involved (HOORAY!) so I think I should be good.
I actually read a fanfic yesterday that I couldn't put down. I printed it out so I could read it when we were slow yesterday evening at work and I was UPSET when it was time to go! While it was more McShep than it was Ronon, I liked the way it was written and it was intersting and really grabbed me.
I need to work on some longer stuff and actually finish it. Drabbles have always been my speed but you just can't sink your teeth into a drabble. You can feel one emotion, tops. I'm definitely going to write a Ronon fic for the syfybigbang (because I'm just not feeling Eli/Chloe/Matt after last night's episode - although I could write some Eli/Chloe and be perfectly happy) but I think I'm going to process through some other story ideas to see if I can't get something else in the works.
AND who in the world knew I was going to be in Phoenix and didn't warn me about the heat! It's THE END of September and it's well over 100 degrees down there and will be for a good majority of my trip. While we probably won't be going to the zoo :( my sister has promised that she'll take me to any air-conditioned mall I want to go to! This means I'll finally get to check out the swanky B&N in Scotsdale!
