Percy could tell she was special as soon as she walked through the door. Because his brain had stopped functioning, he couldn’t concentrate on what she was saying – something about a rare blue orchid.
“Have you eaten lunch?” he asked, interrupting her with no qualms that she might be irritated by his interruption. She shook her head, smiling shyly. He liked shy smiles.
His brain stopped working again when she told him how his sister had sent her to see him. The feelings that overwhelmed him didn’t care that she was so much younger. Luna was one in a million.
