#1 - Home... Sort Of
No one told me that leaving Atlantis would be so heartbreaking. I knew it would be a challenge from the moment I walked through the iris and that I would have to fight for every toe hold I could find to be respected. There was every indication that I was butting too many heads to be well-liked among the crew but that never bothered me. But now... now I'm staring at the gate in Cheyenne Mountain thinking This is the wrong gate. This isn't my gate. Of course this is my gate. This is where I belong.
So why do I feel like crying?

Ginn? Can you hear me?
I can hear you, Eli. You don't need to yell.
Yeah, well... I'm just a little weirded out talking to a computer screen, trying to picture your face instead of a blank screen. You do make a pretty cute cursor, though.
That's the nicest compliment anyone has ever given me. If I could, I think I'd tear up.
I'm going to assume that's sarcasm.
Good assumption. So, you've been busy?
Can't you tell?
Yes, but I'd like to hear it from you. I see the raw data but not the emotion behind it. I can only imagine what's been going on.
Pretty much the same as yesterday. And the day before. Destiny give you any clue when I might be able to power up that body?
Be patient. I haven't asked her yet. She's still sulking from the last time you so rudely asked her.
Hey, that wasn't my fault! You told me-
Yes, fine. It was my fault. Just let me find a good time to ask her. No butting in, trying to do my job.
Fine. Good.
Are you irritated with me?
No. Of course not.
You are angry. You hesitated.
It's... it's just that I feel like I'm talking to myself and that maybe I'm going insane.
You aren't going insane.
Now who's hesitating?
I mean it, Eli. You aren't going insane. If you were, we wouldn't be having trouble animating me again, now would we?
Good call.
I have to go. Destiny is starting to get antsy about these transmissions. Same time tomorrow?
Sure. See you later. Ginn?
Yeah?
I love you.
I love you, too, Eli.
#3 - Start the Party
It's not my birthday.
Says so in your records.
It's not. I think I remember the day on the calendar when I was born. Call my mother if you don't believe me. She'll tell you. And how did you get my records anyway, Ronon Dex?
Sheppard.
Yeah? Sheppard showed you my records?
It was supposed to be a surprise. Don't frown at me like that, Amelia.
I'm sorry. It's just been a really long day. Chuck kept giving me all these mundane little assignments and all I wanted was to get away from that screen and get a shower and... wait. Was he in on this?
Sort of.
Sort of? I had to re-alphabetize the Sector Seven printouts. Okay, I think that deserves cake. Lots of cake. And there's a present, I assume? Yeah, I'm going to need presents for you to make this up to me.
Don't suppose a kiss will help any?
No, not just one. Many kisses. And a foot rub. Yeah, don't scowl at me. You owe me. Did you hear what I had to do? Sector Seven printouts! Alphabetize! Most tedious activity known in this galaxy. Start rubbing. No... wait. No, don't. Don't tickle me. Ronon! Quit!
I'm just doing as you asked.
Quit smirking at me like that. I said I wanted a foot rub. Not a foot tickle. Okay, fine. No foot rub.
Cake?
I can't believe you did this for me. I've never had a surprise birthday party before. No one's going to jump out from behind anything, are they?
Nope.
Good. Come here. You know what I do when I'm doing a really boring and tedious project? I fantasize. Know who I fantasized about?
Me?
No, Rodney McKay. Of course, you.
Good.
